Loddon Primary Federation operates a house system. Every child is given one of four houses to support. Houses are essential, as they create community spirit and give the children an opportunity to contribute to something bigger that involves children from all year groups. Wherever possible, siblings are placed in the same house.
Houses and House Captains
Our houses are Mars, Neptune, Saturn and Venus. Each house is represented by their House Captains (two Year Sixes, elected by their peers). The House Captains are responsible for leading their house in competitions and events.
Earning House Points
House points are awarded for model behaviour, effort in learning and other good deeds. Pupils also participate and compete in competitions and events for house points, which is primarily on sports day, but is sometimes used within PE lessons as well.
House points are tallied each week by the captains at the Junior Site. At the end of the year, once all house points are tallied, the House Champions will be announced, and the House Cup presented to the team at the Junior Site.
