Equality, Diversity & Inclusion

Our school’s equality and diversity objective for 2025/2026 is:

To ensure all staff are aware of their duties under the Equality Act 2010 and are aware of how to report any discriminatory incidents or practices.

We have chosen this objective:

  • To ensure our staff understand their duties in relation to good equality practices.
  • To further develop a whole school culture of tolerance and harmony of different cultural traditions through an appreciation of and respect for their own culture and that of and others both locally to Loddon and within the UK

We plan to achieve this objective by:

  • Using staff meeting time to cover the issues in depth.
  • Develop everyday assemblies which help children with their spiritual, moral, social and cultural beliefs.

Diversity and Equality in Our School

At the Loddon Primary Federation, we strive to improve the lives of our children and families. We celebrate the rich diversity in our world and ensure we respect each others protected characteristics and differences such as race, religion, gender identity, disabilities.

Every child is unique and we celebrate all of our children and their families without discrimination. In doing so we believe that our community will be happier and more successful.

We use a carefully planned PSHE curriculum, Jigsaw, which teaches the Equality Act through a series of high quality picture books and honest discussions.  Everyone is welcome at The Loddon Primary Federation.
